Jeff Clark, AIA, ICC, AAHA - Principal

Jeff studied abroad in London and traveled through much of western Europe before beginning his professional career at AWI in 1983.  While his practice experience cuts across a broad band of project types for both public and private entities, he found his passion in the design of human and animal health and pet care care facilities and repositioned the firm to specialize in these fields of practice in 1988.

In addition to his general management, marketing, and risk management responsibilities, Jeff direct AWI’s programming and design teams in the animal healthcare field where he has collaborated on the design of more than 400 large, small and exotic veterinary hospitals and pet care facilities of all types, including wildlife centers and animal shelters.

Jeff has participated as a guest lecturer at the Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine and at the Pacific Northwest Veterinary Conference. He as well continues to participate as a panelist throughout the Pacific Northwest for continuing education accredited workshops directed towards veterinarians who are considering the development of new, or purchase and remodel of existing facilities.

When not in the office, Jeff still enjoys traveling but can usually be found in the garage restoring classic sports cars and motorcycles or honing his fly-fishing skills on one of the Pacific Northwest's many picturesque rivers.
