Justine was born in New Jersey and raised in Beijing, China before she eventually landed in the Seattle area. As an undergraduate, she attended the Art Institute of Seattle, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. She continued her education at the University of Washington, receiving her Masters of Architecture Degree. In her final year at the University she explored the world of zoo architecture and in her thesis she proposed a new way for humans and animals to interact through architecture. A perfect fit for her work here at AWI.
Justine is currently working toward sitting for her licensure exams, and in her free time enjoys quiet nights at home with her husband catching up on the latest television shows and crocheting animals.
